Duct Tape: The Fix-It-All

Originally developed as a waterproof sealing tape to be used for ammunition cases in World War II, duct tape has moved on to be useful for many things.

When the war was over, many began using duct tape on heating and air conditioning ducts and within a short time, duct tape became the fix-it-all that can not be beat.

Found in just about everybody’s home, duct tape is known for its versatility. Even NASA used duct tape in 1970 on the Apollo 13 during an emergency. The fact is duct tape is responsible for saving the astronauts onboard! The uses for duct tape has become millions and there are even websites dedicated to this fix-it-all known as duct tape. Visit your local bookstore and you are guaranteed to find some written on the many uses of duct tape.

If your boots are leaking or you have a hole in the seat of your pants, do like others and fix it with duct tape. Nothing looks better than having silver tape on your clothes. If you go into anyone’s home, you’re almost guaranteed to see signs that duct tape has been used to fix something. From ripped or frayed carpet to re-treading tennis shoes, the fix-it-all duct tape has come in handy for many individuals.

Because duct tape can fix just about anything, it now comes in a variety of colors, including clear. This fix-it-all is one of the handiest tools you can have around and because of its versatility, duct tape can be purchased in almost any store.
